Susan Marcario- Executive Director

Susan is the Executive Director of Family Link, joining the agency in 1995. She works full time, Monday through Friday. Prior to working at Family Link, Susan served as the Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy of Rhode Island. She also worked at the UCP in Syracuse, New York, as an administrator in the early intervention and child evaluation programs. Susan has an undergraduate degree in Special Education from Syracuse University and a Masters in Non Profit Management from The New School in Manhattan.

On a personal note, Susan is the mother of Caroline, age 4 and Mark, age 1. She hopes to one day find the time to return to the sport of rowing. In the meantime, her favorite hobby is talking about her children.

Eileen Mitchell- Director of Family Support

Eileen works on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday as the Director of Family Support. She runs transition workshops for families in the Family Link Region and is available by telephone or e-mail to assist families with information about transitioning to preschool or any other early intervention questions.

Eileen has a Master's Degree in Social Work and has experience as a hospital social worker as well as an early intervention social worker. She is married and has three children. One of her children has special needs that have brought her family into the early intervention system and inclusion in the public school system.

Monica Anderson- Family Support Coordinator

Monica works on Monday and Thursday. Monica came to work in the early intervention system in 1993 after the caring for her nephew who was born with a disability. Monica also worked for the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network where she worked as a Family Support Information Specialist out of the Special Child Health Services unit in Morristown.

Monica is busy balancing being a wife, family support coordinator, and student. She has a degree in English/Communication and is now working on her Masters in Social Work.

Michele Puzio- Family Support Coordinator

Michele works in the office on Thursdays and can be contacted by calling the office. She has been working for Family Link for four years. Michele is also the Northwest Regional Associate for New Jersey Statewide Parent to Parent. Prior to working for Family Link she worked for six years as the director of a group home for abused and runaway teens.

Michele has two young sons. Michael, born prematurely at 28 weeks, is blind, has a mild neurological impairment, attention deficit disorder and a tic disorder. Now age 7 ½, he is in a mainstream first grade class and reading Braille. Michael loves horseback riding and playing the piano


Theresa Mulstay- Data Coordinator

Theresa works Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am to 2 pm. She has worked at Family Link since 1996, previously working as a Family Support Coordinator. Theresa has a B.S. in accounting and worked in the treasury department at Seiko Corporation of America. She feels that the most important job she holds is being the parent of a child with special needs.

Theresa has two children, Daniel, age 7 and Ashley age 2, both of whom received early intervention services. Daniel has a learning disability and is successfully included in his neighborhood elementary school.

Chitra Pal- Administrative Assistant

Chitra manages all aspects of the Family Link office operations. She joined the staff in November 1998 when she moved to New Jersey from Montreal, Canada. Chitra works on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Chitra has a Master's Degree in Indian History. She is fluent in French and three Indian languages. Before coming to Family Link Chitra worked in a Quebec government social services office for ten years as a secretary and interpreter for families.

Chitra has two grown children, a son who is an engineer and a daughter who is studying to be a physical therapist.
